Vernon Royals

Mr. Vernon Royals, 84 of Sparks passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Royals was born December 6, 1934 to the late James & Nunnie Mae Spivey Royals.  He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the World Wide Church of God.  Mr. Royals loved to fish and to have his family & friends around him, talking and joking.  

Survivors include his children, James (Lanette) Royals of Douglas, Virginia (Dan) Lupo of Sparks, Frances (Charles) Mizell of Homerville, Rachel (Randy) Shelton of Springfield, MO, Linda (Bill) Towler of Kirbyville, MO, and Norma Royals of Springfield, MO; stepson, Sid (Hope) Mizell of Homerville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one brother, Randall Royals of Dupont; sister, Kathy Melton of Lakeland; several nieces & nephews; several stepchildren, and sisters in law, Betty Jean Royals of Douglas, and Betty Royals of Dupont.  Mr. Royals was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Royals; three brothers, Clinton Royals, Edward Royals, and Donald Royals; one sister, Audrey Corbett.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Towler officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex with military rites.  The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
