Mrs. Ruby Lee Hiers, 86 of Valdosta passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Fellowship Home.  Mrs. Hiers was born December 16, 1930 to the late Ave Giles & Ella Tucker Giles.  

Survivors include her children, Frank (Debbie) Hiers of Valdosta, Wandell (Terry) Hiers of Valdosta, Rod (Yetta) Hiers of Barney, Patsy Williams of Adel, Elizabeth Sanbury of Morven, and Marie (Sammy) Hutchinson of Lake Park; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  Mrs. Hiers was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hiers; two brothers, Wynder Giles, and Oscar Giles; three sisters, Della Sloan, Kathleen Galloway, and Edna Meadows.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.   A private graveside service will be held later.
