Mr. Paul Baldree, 92 of Lenox passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Baldree was born November 30, 1926 to the late Charles Augustus Baldree and Idelle Hancock Baldree. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Baldree was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church for 71 years and owner and operator of Lenox Standard Service Station for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Doris Baldree of Lenox; children, Durl Baldree of Lenox, Charles (Cheryl) Baldree of Lenox, Jan (Michael) Godwin of Lenox, and Sandra (Charles) Sumner of Omega; grandchildren, Jeff (Marci) Baldree, Kirk (Mimi) Baldree, Jeremy (Holly) Godwin, Chad (Elizabeth) Godwin, Angie Evans, Tracie Ivey, and Christian Sumner; great grandchildren, Gracyn Baldree, Eston Baldree, Ava Baldree, Charlotte Godwin, Nikki Evans, Becky Evans, Kyla Ivey, Breelyn Ivey, Kellan Ivey and Brinson Ivey; sister, Nadavah Baldree Flanders of Douglas. Mr. Baldree was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Leland Baldree and daughter in law, Patricia Baldree.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Potts, and Rev. Gerald Mallard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
