Nila Shivers Obituary

Mrs. Nila Shivers, 78 of Sparks passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Southern Senior Living.  Mrs. Shivers was born February 18, 1940 to the late Carl & Clara Walker Kegley.  She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sparks.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Shivers of Sparks; children, Jimmy (Birdie) Stoddard of Valdosta, Larry (Kathi) Stoddard of Adel, and Juanita Kelley of Arkansas; stepchildren, James (Ramonda) Shivers of Nashville, Cindi (Chet) Kennerly of Fl, and Linda (David) Baker of Adel; grandchildren, Ronnie, Bree, Blake, Paige, Zakk, Conner, Keri, Joey, Jeremy, Jason, Jennifer, Steven, Lindsey, Ellie, J. R., Tyler, Justin, Kirstin, Jayla, and Ali; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Mary) Kegley of Virginia; daughter in law, Terry Stoddard of Fl; and brother in law, Phillip Terrano of Maine.  Mrs. Shivers was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Carl Stoddard; brother, Kermit Kegley; sisters, Annie Myrtle Ennis, Sue Terrano, and Brenda Kegley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Harrellson, and Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating.  Interment will follow at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Sunday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
