Mark Renfro Obituary

Mr. Mark Tanner Renfro, 55 of Quitman left this earth for heaven on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his father's residence.  Mark will be forever remembered by his father, Dr. Thomas Renfro; nieces Kalyn and Erica Renfro; nephew K. C. Renfro; great nephew, Kayden Harris; sister and brother in law, JoAnne Renfro Poidevant and John Poidevant.  A man of the Christian faith, Mark is reunited with his mother, Marilyn, and brother, Kevin in their heavenly home.  He also leaves behind many cherished friends and loved ones.

Mark Renfro was well known and respected by many.  He had a successful career in the restaurant industry in the Valdosta area.  He will forever be remembered as the flavor of Fiddlers Green and 306 North, the life of the party, the fun uncle, the loving son, the candy man, the brother you never had, and Mr. Hospitality.  Mark loved his family and friends.  He enjoyed showering his nieces, nephews, and friends with candy and presents.  Mark had an engaging personality and always brought laughter and love to those around him.

Mark will always remain in our hearts.  He was uniquely talented and served as our culinary specialist, personal decorator, and educator of all things lovely.  His taste for all the finer things in life was appreciated, respected and enjoyed.  Mark was many things to many people.  Mark always said, "It takes a village to raise Mark."  We will always remember THE Mark Renfro, THE Uncle Mark.  We take joy in knowing he is home and free from pain.

A very special thank you to Mark's wonderful caregivers, Sylvia McIntyre, Patricia Moore, Teretha Thompkins, and Carrie Moore.  Your love and support are appreciated more than you know.

The family will be receiving friends, Monday, August, 13, 2018 from 5-8 p.m at First Baptist Church Quitman.  Mark's Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made in Mark's memory to Options Now, P. O. Box 5907, Valdosta, GA  31603 or online at optionsnow.org.
