Mrs. Linda Gibbs, 70 of Adel passed unexpectedly Sunday, August 13, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Gibbs was born July 26, 1947 to the late James Duren & Ruby Hopson Spradley.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and had worked as a sales representative with Colson Printing. 

Survivors include her husband, Tony Gibbs of Adel; children, Rickey (Melinda) Gibbs of Adel, Bridgette (Guy) Spann of Nashville, and Ron (Shannon) Gibbs of Adel; grandchildren, Courtney (Michael) Norman, Corey Gibbs, Colby Tillman, Tara Gibbs, Amanda Renshaw, and Colbie Spann; great grandchild, Drayton Norman; one brother, Harold (Reba) Spradley of Adel.  Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by three brothers, J. D. Spradley, Royce Spradley, and J. W. Spradley; four sisters, May Shadoin, Mona Summerlin, Iona Spradley, and Louise Clements. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Eric Gordon, and Mr. Wendy Colson officiating.  A private entombment will be held following the service.  The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening August 17, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
