Mr. Joseph William Gessford, 56 of Stockton passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Gessford was born January 31, 1961 in Prince Fredericks, Maryland and was a plumber with Gessford Enterprise.  

Survivors include his father, James William Gessford, III of Lenox; mother and stepfather, Beth Bennett and Rayford Bennett of Stockton; son, Joseph William Gessford, Jr. of Virginia; two brothers, Patrick Gessford of Sparks, and James Gessford, IV of Sparks; three sisters, Mary Beth McDonald of Sparks, Lisa Weaver of Indiana, and Gretta Strum of OK.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. David Rowe officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
