John Ward Obituary

Mr. John Henry Ward, 74 of Valdosta passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Ward was born December 3, 1943 to the late Sam & Evelyn Ward. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Valdosta. Mr. Ward enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and sitting on the front porch playing the steel guitar, piano, and harmonic by ear.

Survivors include his brother, Samuel James (Sarah) Ward of Monticello, GA; sister, Judy Griffin of Valdosta; several nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews; special friend, Shannon. Mr. Ward was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Andrew Ward; and three sisters, Eva Mayville, Iva Lee Roberts, and Nancy Wagner.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jack Seiverd officiating.
