John Strickland Obituary

Mr. John David Strickland, 68 of Adel passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Strickland was born May 26, 1950 to the late Frank & Nadine Strickland. He worked as a meat cutter at Days Supermarket before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Strickland of Adel; children, Rhonda (Joseph) Hendley of Adel, and Ronald Strickland of Douglas; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Strickland of Thomasville, and Harvey Strickland of Quitman; and one sister, Julia Everett of Greenville, FL. Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Strickland and Steven Strickland; and two sisters, Mary Helen Love, and Betty Cunningham.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
