Joey Cox

Mr. Joey Cox, 56 of Quitman passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence.  Mr. Cox was born August 18, 1962 in Moultrie, Ga. and served in the United States Army.  He worked with M&L Farms and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Cox of Quitman; children, Tara Cox of Quitman, and Theresa Cox of Quitman; mother, Hattie Lou Cox of Cordele; grandchild, Waylon Mores; brother, Roy (Pam) Cox of Tifton; and sisters, Marie (Robert) Slenker of Cordele, and Ann (Sam) Thurston of Douglas.  Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Cox.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Herrin officiating.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
