Mr. Jerry Weeks, 71 of Sparks passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Weeks was born April 12, 1946 to the lae Julius Carroll & Mattie Lou Griffin Weeks.  He was a member of Massee Baptist Church and worked in construction before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Weeks of Sparks; children, Chris Weeks of Valdosta, Tammy (Tim) Johns of Jasper, Fl, Peggy (Jody) Price of Nashville, and Teresa Meeler of Sparks; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Linda) Weeks of Lenox, and Roger (Debbie) Weeks of Pavo; one sister, Wanda (Gary) Bennett of Lenox; several nieces & nephews; special friend, Herbie Grant of Sparks.  Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Spires and his granddaughter, Robin Dale Weeks..

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Turner officiating.  The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
