Mrs. Janice Hawke Bradford, 68 of Adel passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Bradford was born November 15, 1948 to the late John Hawke and Mary Alice Mims Hawke. 

Survivors include her children, Lisa Ann Giddens of Adel, and Sherry Lynn Davis of Adel, Patricia "Squirt" Bradford of Adel; three grandchildren, Rachael Dawn Corbin, Hannah Nicole Bennett, and Dillon Creek Giddens; three great grandchild, Claire Ann Corbin, Caine Reed Corbin, Tadasku King II; two sisters, Sybil Haymons of Sandhill, Sue Fulgham of Doerun; One Brother, Ronald Hawke of Augusta, Georgia. Mrs. Bradford was preceded by her husband, Bennie Bradford; four brothers: Ray Hawke, Calvin Hawke, B.T. Hawke and Wayne Hawke; four sisters: Frances Davis, Beatrice Norton, Anne Conley and Sara Oglesby.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home Chapel with Mr.  Wendell Cleghorn officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
