Jackie Amos Parten

May 22, 1941 ~ December 1, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Jackie Amos Parten, “Jack”, went home to be with our Lord and Savior the morning of December 1, 2017.  He was 76 years old. His devotion to his family and God was seen in his life. He has served God as both a pastor and recently as a Sunday School Teacher. Along with sharing God’s word with others, Jack also enjoyed sharing the “fruits” of his labors that he grew in his garden with all who would accept his offerings. He enjoyed giving to others and fellowshipping with his friends forbreakfast in town.

He leaves behind his mother, Jessie Mae Baker; his daughter, Jackie Twigg and her husband, Steven. His three grandchildren: Jonathan, Zoe and Kara. His step-daughter: Teresa Gibbons and family. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Glenn Spiller and wife, Dorma Ruth and son, Dennis and family; Ex-Wife, Jean Parten; Niece, Teresa Gunn Prickett and husband, John and 2 brothers: Frank Parten and his family; Tommy Baker and his family.

There will be a celebration service at Evergreen Baptist Church in Boston, GA led by Pastor Roy Little to honor Jack’s life on Saturday December 9th at 11:30AM with a reception to follow at the church fellowship room. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be sent in his name to Evergreen Baptist Church C/O Lillian Hanratty  836 Summerhill Rd  Thomasville, GA  31757.

Although from this world you are gone, forever in our heart you will live on.  See you at Jesus’ feet.
