Mr. Jack Clanton, 88 of Tallahassee, Fl., passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at his son's residence after a lengthy illness.  Mr. Clanton was born March 12, 1929 to the late Paul Matthew Clanton, Sr., and Pauline Harris Clanton.  He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Tallahassee, where he served as a Deacon for many years.  Mr. Clanton enjoyed square dancing for several years with his wife.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Rogers Clanton of Tallahassee; children, Lyle Clanton, Sr., of Tallahassee, Jim Bo (Tammy) Clanton of Cordele, Steven (Peggy) Clanton of Tallahassee, and Karen (Jim) Webb of Orlando, Fl.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  Mr. Clanton was preceded in death by his son, Mark Clanton; brothers, Eugene Clanton, Vonnie Clanton, and Paul Clanton, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lorene Clanton, Coppage, Doris Clanton Giddens, Ila Clanton Garner, and Inez Clanton Sellars.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Campground Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Tinsley, and Rev. Terry Sellars officiating.  Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
