Gere Selph

Mrs. Gereline "Gere" Selph, 71 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Selph was born December 23, 1946 to the late Sam & Gereline Youmans Flowers.  She was a legal secretary before retiring and was a member of the First Baptist Church Quitman.  

Survivors include her children, Ashley (Beth) Bass of Tallahassee, Aimee (Jamie) Carroll of Madison, Fl., Mark (Beth) Selph of Valdosta, Michael Selph of Lake Park, and Jeannie (Ray) Gupton of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jordan Carroll, Heath Carroll, Breanna (Kyle) McGee, Isabella Bass, Evan Selph, Ethan Selph, Rhonda Smith, Samantha Wright, Corey Jaramillo, Taylor Jaramillo, and Brawdy Gupton; and one sister, Tonie (John) Welch of Huntsville, AL.  Mrs. Selph was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Selph; and one brother, Winston Martin.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Quitman with Rev. Steve Shierling officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Valdosta.  The family will be receiving friends Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
