Geraldine Dixon

Mrs. Geraldine Dixon, 75 of Nashville passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at her residence.  Mrs. Dixon was born February 20, 1944 to the late Banny & Evelyn Herring Dixon.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Mary Ann (James) Johnson of Nashville, and Anthony Taft of Nashville; grandchildren, Lonnie Taft, Josh Rowe, Anthony Taft, Lee Phillips, Kerrie Taft, Kandie Taft, and Landon Taft; great grandchildren, Jamie Dyal, Troi Taft, Lonnie Taft, Jr, J. D. Dyal, Jr, Shirley Nicole Odom, Ira Odom, and Sterling Lee Odom; one sister, Mary Chancey of Waycross; and best friend Sue (Sonny) Griner of Nashville.  Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by two children, Ira Taft, and Shirley Taft; one brother, Jimmy Dixon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.  Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
