Mr. Gary David Hardy, 50 of Adel passed away Monday, October  2, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Hardy was born October 7, 1966 in Hahira, GA.  He was a Registered Nurse with Accountable Healthcare Staffing, Inc.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Ruth Montgomery Hardy of Adel; four sisters, Candy Sturdivant (Tim Sumner) of Chaserville, Marsha (Steve) Ruffin of Thomaston, GA., Dee Hardy of Sparks, and Robbie Dell (Don) Brooker of Quitman; nieces, Rebecca Meeler, Amber Meeler, and Tina Meeler; nephews, Noah Brooker, Brandon Brooker, Michael Brooker, and Jon Richardson; great nephews, Chase Brooker, and Jaiden Deberry; great niece, Mikayla Meeler.  Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his father, David Ralph Hardy, and his sister, Linda Sue Hardy.

Funeral services were held on Thursday October 5, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Special music selections included ; "Sinners Prayer", "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Lilly Of The Valley"and " Lead Me Home". Interment  followed at Wilkes Cemetery. Pallbearers; Jon Richardson, Tony Browing, Alex Browing, Timmy Sumner, Cliff Miley and Joe Broome. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
