Mrs. Freida Rowan, 76 of Lakeland passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Rowan was born November 5, 1940 to the late James Aden Warren & Toy Browning Warren.  She worked at Levi Strauss for 36 years as a seamstress and was a member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Marcus Rowan of Lakeland; children, Eric (Crystal) Rowan of Lakeland, Ferrell (Barry) Warren of Tallahassee, Fl., Jerry Rowan of Weirsdale, Fl, Steven (Debora) Rowan of Interlachen, FL, Virginia (David) Gibbons of Weirsdale, Fl, and Marcus Allen Rowan of Interlachen, FL.; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Lee Warren of Nashville; one sister, Linda Sue Durrance of Lakeland.  Mrs. Rowan was preceded in death by three brothers, John Warren, Lamar Warren, and Coleman Warren; two sisters, Hattie Roe, and Velma Newbern.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Hughes and Rev. Jonathan Walker officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeland City Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
