Mr. Franklin Smith, 84 of Adel passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Smith was born December 7, 1932 to the late James Madison Smith & Opal Jefferson Smith.  

Survivors include his grandchildren, Brandon (Dana) Smith of Clyattville, Wendy, Sissy, and Chris; two great grandchildren; one brother, James (JoAnn) Smith of West Berrien; several nieces & nephews.  Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Lee Griffin Smith; two children, Larry Smith, and Wanda Smith; one brother, Deuane Smith; two sisters, Nell Hall, and Madelyn Godwin.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilkes Cemetery with Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.
