Doris Burnett Obituary

Mrs. Doris Simpson Browning Burnett, 72 of Adel passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Cook Senior Living Center. Mrs. Burnett was born June 23, 1946 to the late Frank & Irene Corbett Simpson.

Survivors include her children, Tony Browning of Sparks, Carl (Wyndy) Browning of Adel, Tammy (Raymond) Wilcox of Lakeland, Pamela (Vernon) Young of Adel, and Tonia Browning of Sparks; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Simpson of Alapaha. Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Burnett; brother, Marvin "Pee Wee" Simpson; and one sister, Dorothy Guest.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
