Mrs. Celia Dupree, 70 of Adel passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Dupree was born December 16, 1946 to the late James Francis Ford and Celia Katherine Hendrix Ford.  She was a teacher and guidance counselor with the Brooks County Board of Education before she retired.  Mrs. Dupree was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Quitman.

Survivors include her husband, Louie Dupree of Adel; daughters, Celia Katherine (John) Scragg of Canton, GA., Anne Marie (Randall) Smith of Quitman, and Elizabeth McCall (Chad) Godwin of Adel; grandchildren, Anna Scragg, Will Scragg, Randall Smith, Addison Smith, Ryan Amox, and Luke Amos.  

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church Quitman with Rev. Brad Shealy officiating.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
