Catherine Malone Obituary

Mrs. Catherine Malone, 87 of Valdosta passed away Saturday, January 19, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Malone was born March 8, 1931 to the late Julian & Keron Newbern Solliman.

Survivors include her husband, W. C. Malone of Valdosta; children, Ronnie (Janice) Pittman of Valdosta, and Mary Kate (William) Hay of Ray City; stepson, Charles Malone of Valdosta; stepdaughter, Ann White of Mississippi; grandchildren, David Pittman, Christy Eason, DeWayne Hay, and Ronald Hay; several step grandchildren; great grandson, Emmett Eason. Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by her previous spouse, Sam Pittman; stepdaughter, Shirley Bayles.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rewis officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Homerville. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
