Carolyn Bass Obituary
Carolyn Wynn Bass, 80 of Quitman passed away on November 12, 2018 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bass was born November 4, 1938 in Palm Beach County, Fl. and was a member of Ochlawilla Baptist Church. She was the wife of 62 years to Edward Bass of Quitman. They have 3 children, Linda (Doug) Ives of Jesup, Ga, Pat (Billy) Spires of Quitman, and Shannon (Lin) Webb of Lee, Fl.; 5 grandchildren, Garrett (LeighAnne) Ives, Sterling Ives, Jason (Lacy) Bradford, Jodie (Joseph) Whitmer, Blake Webb; and 1 great granddaughter, Layla Ives. She is also survived by her brothers, Dr. John M. Wynn of Jackson’s Gap, Ala, Richard (Linda) Wynn, Melvin Wynn; one sister, Sandra (Johnny) Norris and sister in law Lavonne Wynn all of Madison, Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Velma Wynn; and her brother, David Wynn. Mama loved flowers so feel free to honor her.
Graveside service will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the old side of Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Dewey Fountain officiating. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at First Baptist Church Quitman.
