Mr. Bradshaw Johnson, 91 of Adel passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at Fellowship Home in Valdosta. Mr. Johnson was born February 10, 1928 to the late Sterling and Beulah Johnson. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Adel. He worked for many years with the United States Postal Service in Adel before retiring.
Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Kellum of Elberton, GA and Joyce Dixon of Marietta, GA; nieces and nephews, Julie (Mike) Carter of Adel, Rhonda Storey of Moultrie, Ron (Tina) George of Adel, Jamie George of Vada, Ga, and Janet Lee George of Cave Springs, GA.; brother in law, Leon (Mary) George of Adel. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Johnson; son, Greg Johnson; and several brothers.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Dr. Danny V. Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery with military rites. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Purvis Funeral Home.
