Bobby Plymel Obituary

Mr. Bobby Plymel, 82 of Valdosta, formerly of Sparks passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. Mr. Plymel was born February 29, 1936 to the late Zion & Ethel Tatum Plymel. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from Union Camp. Mr. Plymel was a member of Temple Calvary Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vernell Plymel of Valdosta; daughter, Cyndee Staten of Valdosta; grandchildren, Melanie Hughes, Brooklyn Long, Cassidy Boggs, and Brittany Plymel; and several great grandchildren. Mr. Plymel was preceded in death by his son, Dwight Plymel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Calvary Holiness Church with Rev. Vernon Hughes and Rev. John R. Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
