Ann Sorensen

Mrs. Patricia Ann Reed Sorensen, 79 of Adel passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home after a brief illness.  Mrs. Sorensen was bon March 25, 1940 to the late Rev. Boyd Reed and Gladys Joiner Reed.

Mrs. Sorensen held many occupations during her life, including factory worker, waitress, and nursing assistant at the Adel Memorial Hospital, from which she retired.  She loved tending to her flower gardens, sitting on the porch watching the birds, traveling, and taking care of her four legged friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Mylinda Crosby Weeks of Cumming, GA; one grandson, Joshua (Andrea) Weeks of Atlanta; two brothers, John Reed of Adel, and William (Peggy) Reed of Buford, GA.; three sisters, Mary Ruth Mixon, of Buford, GA., Barbara Hughes of Jacksonville Beach, Fl, and Karen Blankenship of Moultrie.  Mrs. Sorensen was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Otto Sorensen; her son, Michael Crosby, brother, Ronald (Jung) Reed; and her son in law, Cecil Weeks.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Bro. John Reed officiating.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Sorensen requested that donations be made to your favorite charity.
