Alfonso Gonzalez Obituary

Mr. Alfonso Gonzalez, 75 of Quitman passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Gonzalez was born October 14, 1942 to the late Antonio & Zula Marchetta Gonzalez. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and attended Quitman Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Jackalee Gonzalez of Quitman; son, Alfonso Antonio Gonzalez of Tampa, Fl; brother, Tony Miller of Fl; sister, Margaret Melton of Plant City, FL; nephews, Sammy (Marie) Boxx of Quitman, John Reagan of Tampa, Fl. and Bert Boxx of Barney; nieces, Millie (Rodney) Hysmith of Barney, Tina (Tommy) Mason of Morven, and Marie (David) Forrester of Baconton, GA. brother in law, Gilbert Boxx of Quitman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Quitman Church of God with Rev. Gwin Jarriel and Rev. Jim Pitt officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home
