Mrs. Wynell McDaniel, 93 of Adel passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Tift Health and Rehab in Tifton.  Mrs. McDaniel was born January 13, 1924 to the late Leonard Bennett and Callie Wetherington Bennett.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church Adel for many years.  Mrs. McDaniel retired as director from the Cook County Training Center, but she was probably remembered by many as the owner of the tomato stand on Hwy 41.

Survivors include her children, Owen McDaniel and Janice Brice of Adel, and Wanda (David) Robinson of Adel; grandchildren, Leslie (Jason) Lairsey, Laurie (Stephen) Scarrow, Scott (Meredith) Robinson, Greg Robinson, and Calli Robinson; great grandchildren, Bennett Lairsey, Brooks Lairsey, and Sawyer Scarrow.  Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wright McDaniel; and one brother, Walter J. "Buddy" Bennett.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Elder Thad Marshall, and Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
