Virginia Manus Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Manus, 89 of Sparks passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Cook Medical Center. Mrs. Manus was born May 6, 1928 to the late Keylon & Virginia Lee Stokes Rimes. She was a painters assistant with Highlands Aviation before she retired and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sparks.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Manus of Sparks; children, James (Donna) Boney of FL., Lillian Miley of FL, Flo (Ozzie) Guest of Cecil, and Virginia Dhondt of Sparks; grandchildren, Arlene Brady, Kim McPherson, Jason Boney, Charla Boney, Marie Hood, Lynn Rogers, Felicia Guest, James Eugene Bell and James Robert McCall; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one brother, C. T. Rimes of Sebring, FL. several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Manus was preceded in death by one son, Charles Boney; granddaughter, Amy Boney; one brother, Harold Rimes; and three sisters, Margie Rimes, Carmen Townsend, and Addine Singletary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow at Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
