Thomas “Tommy” Davis, age 65, of Alapaha, GA passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was born on September 1st, 1952 to the late Latimer “Bud” and Lucille Davis. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters, Karen and Kay Davis and one grandchild, Nolan Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kay Lott Davis of Alapaha: children, Kristie (Dean) Seymour of Alapaha, Carroll (William) Jackson of Alapaha, and Cassandra (Adam) Davis of Tampa, FL. grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Emma, and Maddox Davis, and Tyler and Taylor Jackson; great grandchild, Brock Rudeseal Siblings; Joan Sheffield, Joe Davis, Katherine Paulk and several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Hardworking and loving husband and father, he accomplished many things including: owning and operating “Davis Service Station,” in Willacoochee, GA. Also, working many years in propane gas, and eventually retiring from the City of Nashville as street supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, woodwork, and spending time with family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Nashville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Clarence Luke officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
