Mr. Tommie "Butch" Harrell, Jr., 70 of Sparks passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mr. Harrell was born August 26, 1947 to the late Tommie C. Harrell, Sr., and Dorothy Crosby Harrell. He served in the United States Army and was a cabinet maker before retiring. Mr. Harrell attended Gordon Avenue Baptist Church in Adel.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gray Harrell of Sparks; daughters, Rachel Lynn Harrell of Moultrie, and Tracy Diane (Michael) Cody of Quitman; grandchildren, Adrianne Madison Casteel, Allen Cody Casteel, Emily Hope Keigans, and Billy Harrell Keigans; one great grandchild, Alayah Renee Keigans. Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by one grandchild, Austin Taylor Harrell; and two brothers, Bobby Edward Suggs, and Cecil Otis "Cebo" Suggs.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Gordon Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Danny V. Ray, and Mr. W. F. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Easters Cemetery in Lenox. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
