Mrs. Sue Wilkes, 70 of Adel passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Berrien Nursing Center.  Mrs. Wilkes was born September 29, 1947 to the late William Bill Wiley & Ruby Watson Wiley.  She retired from Food Lion and was a member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her children, Jamie (Ramonda) Shivers of Nashville, Cyndi (Chet) Kennerly of Apopka, FL, and Linda (David) Baker of Adel; grandchildren, J. R. Shivers, Justin Shivers, Tyler Shivers, Kiristin Shivers, Jayla Shivers, Ali Shivers, Steven Meadows, Jr., Lindsey Meadows, and Elle (Christian) Walch; great grandchildren, Brodie Shivers, and Vivienne Walch; brother in law, Auburey Dillard of Sparks.  Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wilkes; one brother, Jimmy Wiley; three sisters, Helen Dillard, Vivian Nagles, and Ellen Dooley.  

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow at Lenox Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
