Mrs. Mary Nations, 80 of Lizella, GA passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her residence.  Mrs. Nations was born September 22, 1936 to the late Thomas Franklin Lewis and Nora Holton Lewis.  She retired as an Librarian with the Public School System after 37 years and was a member of the Rolling Readers of Macon.  Mrs. Nations was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Macon and was in charge of the nursery for many years.  

Survivors include her son, Chris (Jenny) Nations of Macon; one grandchild, Landon Faulk; one brother, LeRoy (Bobbie) Lewis of Macon; many nieces and nephews.   Mrs. Nations was preceded in death by four sisters, Jewel Miller, Madeline Adkins, Agnes Slayton,and Doris Miller; four brothers, Amos Lewis, Curtis Lewis, Thomas Calvin Lewis and Virgil Lewis.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home with Rev. John Brigmond officiating.  Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
