Mrs. Geraldine Bates, 74 of Quitman passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Fellowship Home.  Mrs. Bates was born July 5, 1943 to the late Morris Gerald McRae and Beryle Jadine Thomas McRae.  She worked with the State of Florida as an dietician before she retired.  

Survivors include her children, Jadine (Adam) Weaver of Morven, and Margaret (Matthew) Smith of Tx.; grandchildren, Luke Weaver, Paige Weaver, and Logan Weaver; sisters, Janice (Jerry) Coffee of Morven, and Kathleen (Carl) Abramson of CA.; one brother, Ron McRae (Ray) of TN.  

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Campground Cemetery with Rev. Jim Pitt officiating.  The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
