Mr. Daniel Baker Nail, 93 of Quitman passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Nail was born January 17, 1924 to the late James & Annie Baker Nail. He served in the United States Army during World War II, Korean War, and the Cuban Crisis. Mr. Nail retired from the Army after serving 20 years, and retired from Civil Service after 30 years.
Survivors include his children, Paul (Violet) Nail of Quitman, and Danielle (James) Campbell of Charleston, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Nicole White, Gabrielle Johnson, Paula Blair, Daniel Nail, Kelly Campbell, Helen Chavis, and James Campbell; 11 great grandchildren; and fiance, Nancy Tennyson of Quitman. Mr. Nail was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Remy Nail; five brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home with Chaplain Bertrum Whitfield officiating. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
