I still find myself missing my dear friend Cloyd. He was a blessing to all who knew him & I’m deeply saddened that he was taken from us too soon. Rest in peace and I’ll see you again at heaven’s pearly gates.

I was so sorry to hear of Cloyd's passing. I only found out yesterday from the Adel News as it was not in the previous week or I would have been at the service.. My prayers to his family and friends.. My earliest memory of him was in 7th grade I guess when he and i were talking about the Beatles who had just been on Ed Sullivan show. Cloyd always wanted to be 'around the music' even if he never played in a band. He used to hang out with us sometimes in the first rock band I played in during high school. I used to visit him when he was working in the clothing store. He was a very tasteful dresser and was voted part of the 'neatest couple' in our HS yearbook. I don't remember him ever being 'down'...he was always 'turned up to 11' as we guitarists would say. He helped bring several famous bands to Valdosta in early 70s like Bob Segar, Ted Nugent, Ides of March etc....lot of fun hanging out with them. I remember he was a big champion for Roundhouse and I think Doc Holiday from Macon area. And we thought we were all going to live forever!!!!! Well, as long as one is remembered, we will live!

I am so sorry to hear about Cloyd's passing. He had been in my thoughts the last couple of weeks for some reason. I knew he had cancer but I hadn't spoken with him in a while. One of our old friends, Joey Sands, called my workplace today and I asked him if he had heard anything about how Cloyd was doing. He was not aware of his cancer but he told me he would find out and let me know. He called back shortly with this sad news.
Cloyd was my first love and we shared many happy times together. I loved being part of the Bloser family, I am happy that we were able to remain friends. He was a great guy. I can see him playing that harmonica in Heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you all..
Rest in Peace Cloyd. Prayers for the family.

Cloyd was a great man that taught me a lot and was always there to help me if he was able to. I can honestly say other than 2 of my friends I work for now, I never had a boss I liked as much as I did Cloyd. Rest in Peace. Heaven just got a great addition to the choir's harmonica section. The man that gave me a shot at designing a full fledged 60+ page magazine that went to 12 states with 60,000 copies distributed. Not many people around here can say they have that on their resume. Thank you for all you ever did for me, I'll truly miss you. I can remember for the two years I worked for you before the magazine went out of business We spent every day at your house designing it and getting it together, a lot of the time I would be playing the guitar while you played the harp. We spent a lot of time together and I always looked at you as a father figure and I know if you were reading this you wouldn't believe what i'm about to say but I took everything you said to heart and really listened and learned when you were talking about business or whatever it may be. It's rare in such a small town to meet someone that loves old music as much as me and you did. I'm glad you and Dad (Joe Griffin) were friends and knew each other forever thus leading to me meeting you when I was 15 and that was when I started helping you with the magazine and got to know the man i'd look up to so much and admire. I cried a little this morning reading a write up the music store did and I was thinking that you were probably looking down telling me to "dry it up quit being a sissy Joey. Man up. lol. I love you Cloyd and I just wanted to stop by and post this here. I never got to know your son Brent, but you always talked good about him and the rest of your family. You were never the type to talk bad about a person. If you didn't particularly like someone, you just kept your thoughts to yourself about it (at least around me). Thanks for all the memories and the lessons you taught me about business and people in general. If a heart was wealth you'd be Bill Gates. Love you brother.

So very sorry to hear of Cloyd's passing.
He was part of my life for a time many years ago. We continued to stay in touch over the years and until these last recent months we spoke often. We talked about his illness and hopes for recovery.
Rest In Peace Cloyd. Though you will be missed by many, I know that you are with your mom and dad, and so many others gone before.
Thinking of your family at this time of sorrow.
