Mrs. Betty Sexton, 70 of Lenox passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Cook Senior Living Center.  Mrs. Sexton was born September 12, 1947 to the late David & Lizzie Kelly Matthews.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Jackie) Sexton of Lenox, and Tony (Lola) Sexton of Adel; grandchildren, Tiffany Sexton, Ashley Sexton, Bubba Sexton, Abi Sexton, Casen Sexton, Dalton Matthews, Savannah Matthews, Chloe Sexton, Shelby Sexton, Bailey Sexton, Gracie Sexton, and Dezaraie Avery; brothers, Jerry Matthews of Sparks, William D. Matthews of Sparks, and Thomas (Martha Jo) Matthews of Rome, GA.  Mrs. Sexton was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sexton; daughter, Tonya Sexton; and brothers, Kenneth Matthews, and James Matthews.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow at Lenox Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
